How does Makrly generate posts from my commits?

When you push code to GitHub, Makrly reads your commit messages and code changes. Our AI analyzes what you built, filters out mundane commits, and generates engaging social media posts tailored for each platform.

Is my code safe? What permissions do you need?

Yes, your code is safe. We only request read-only access to your repositories. We can't modify your code, create branches, or make any changes. We only read commit messages and diffs to understand what you're building.

Can I use my own AI API key?

Yes! You can bring your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or other providers through OpenRouter. This gives you full control over which AI model generates your posts.

Which platforms are supported?

Currently, Makrly generates posts optimized for X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook. Each platform gets a different version tailored to its audience and format.

We've added a handy Updates link to the navbar to keep you informed, while smoothing out the slide-in panel experience by cleaning up visuals and hiding distractions when it's open.

This update makes it simpler than ever to stay on top of what's new by introducing an Updates link right in the main navigation bar. Just click it to bring up the changelog without interrupting your current workflow.

Smoother slide-in panel interaction
When the slide-in panel is open, the side tab now gracefully hides itself, reducing clutter and keeping the focus where it belongs. We also refined link colors to a consistent indigo shade, so everything feels cohesive and easy on the eyes.

Finally, we've simplified entry footers by removing the less helpful “Read more” arrows, making the interface cleaner and more straightforward. These small but thoughtful changes combine to create a more polished and user-friendly experience.
