How does Makrly generate posts from my commits?

When you push code to GitHub, Makrly reads your commit messages and code changes. Our AI analyzes what you built, filters out mundane commits, and generates engaging social media posts tailored for each platform.

Is my code safe? What permissions do you need?

Yes, your code is safe. We only request read-only access to your repositories. We can't modify your code, create branches, or make any changes. We only read commit messages and diffs to understand what you're building.

Can I use my own AI API key?

Yes! You can bring your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or other providers through OpenRouter. This gives you full control over which AI model generates your posts.

Which platforms are supported?

Currently, Makrly generates posts optimized for X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook. Each platform gets a different version tailored to its audience and format.

Easily control tab visibility with new slideInHideTab option

You can now hide the slide-in tab via a simple setting, giving you more control over how and when it appears for your users.

We’ve made it easier to customize your widget’s appearance by exposing the slideInHideTab setting in the public API. This means that if you want the slide-in tab to stay hidden instead of showing up automatically, you can now do that effortlessly.

Before, the option to hide the tab wasn’t actually being applied behind the scenes, which meant it wouldn’t work as expected. With this update, enabling the hideTab setting now truly keeps the tab out of sight, helping you create a cleaner or more focused user experience when needed.

This improvement gives you more flexibility to tailor the widget behavior exactly how you want, whether that means showing the tab as a prompt or keeping it hidden until a specific moment.
