How does Makrly generate posts from my commits?

When you push code to GitHub, Makrly reads your commit messages and code changes. Our AI analyzes what you built, filters out mundane commits, and generates engaging social media posts tailored for each platform.

Is my code safe? What permissions do you need?

Yes, your code is safe. We only request read-only access to your repositories. We can't modify your code, create branches, or make any changes. We only read commit messages and diffs to understand what you're building.

Can I use my own AI API key?

Yes! You can bring your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or other providers through OpenRouter. This gives you full control over which AI model generates your posts.

Which platforms are supported?

Currently, Makrly generates posts optimized for X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook. Each platform gets a different version tailored to its audience and format.

You can now switch between light and dark themes on the public changelog page using an easy toggle in the header. Your choice is saved and remembered whenever you return.

We’ve added a theme toggle button to the header of the public changelog page, giving you control over how it looks. Whether you prefer a bright, light background or a darker, easier-on-the-eyes mode, you can switch instantly with a simple sun or moon icon.

Your preference now overrides the default theme settings and is saved locally in your browser, so your chosen look stays consistent across visits without any extra steps. This way, the changelog feels more personal and comfortable no matter when you come back.

The toggle’s icon changes to reflect the current theme — a sun for dark mode and a moon for light — making it clear exactly which mode you’re in. We hope this small but meaningful addition makes reading updates and changes a bit more enjoyable.
