How does Makrly generate posts from my commits?

When you push code to GitHub, Makrly reads your commit messages and code changes. Our AI analyzes what you built, filters out mundane commits, and generates engaging social media posts tailored for each platform.

Is my code safe? What permissions do you need?

Yes, your code is safe. We only request read-only access to your repositories. We can't modify your code, create branches, or make any changes. We only read commit messages and diffs to understand what you're building.

Can I use my own AI API key?

Yes! You can bring your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or other providers through OpenRouter. This gives you full control over which AI model generates your posts.

Which platforms are supported?

Currently, Makrly generates posts optimized for X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook. Each platform gets a different version tailored to its audience and format.

You can now react as much as you want without restrictions, and the feedback experience is more consistent and intuitive across all parts of the app.

We’ve removed the limits on how many reactions you can give, so you’re free to express yourself without any gating or interruptions. This change lets you engage more naturally and openly.

A smoother, unified feedback experience
The way reactions and feedback appear is now the same whether you’re using the widget, slide-in panel, or public page. Reaction buttons no longer highlight when selected, giving a cleaner, more neutral look. Whenever you react, the feedback form will always appear right away, making it easier to share your thoughts.

More intuitive controls
If the feedback form is already open and you click another reaction, it will simply close the form, keeping things simple and predictable. Plus, any limits on reaction frequency are now handled behind the scenes on the server, so you don’t have to worry about them.

Together, these improvements make reacting and providing feedback feel effortless and consistent no matter where you are in the app.
