How does Makrly generate posts from my commits?

When you push code to GitHub, Makrly reads your commit messages and code changes. Our AI analyzes what you built, filters out mundane commits, and generates engaging social media posts tailored for each platform.

Is my code safe? What permissions do you need?

Yes, your code is safe. We only request read-only access to your repositories. We can't modify your code, create branches, or make any changes. We only read commit messages and diffs to understand what you're building.

Can I use my own AI API key?

Yes! You can bring your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or other providers through OpenRouter. This gives you full control over which AI model generates your posts.

Which platforms are supported?

Currently, Makrly generates posts optimized for X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook. Each platform gets a different version tailored to its audience and format.

Your settings are now neatly organized into three tabs, making it quicker and simpler to find what you need and manage your account, repositories, and AI preferences.

We've redesigned the settings page to give you a cleaner, more intuitive experience by introducing tabbed navigation. Instead of scrolling through one long page, you can now switch between three clear sections, each dedicated to a key area of your account.

Streamlined settings organization
The new tabs divide your settings into Repos, AI, and Account categories. The Repos tab helps you easily manage your connected repositories, keeping everything related to your projects in one place. The AI tab brings all your API keys, model selections, and voice & tone customizations together, so you're always in control of your AI preferences without hunting through menus.

Clear access to important actions
Finally, the Account tab gives you quick access to your subscription details and important actions like exporting or deleting your data, all in the ‘danger zone’ section. This redesign helps you find what you’re looking for faster and keeps your settings organized and easy to navigate.
