Is my code safe? What permissions do you need?

Yes, your code is safe. We only request read-only access to your repositories. We can't modify your code, create branches, or make any changes. We only read commit messages and diffs to understand what you're building.

Can I use my own AI API key?

Yes! You can bring your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or other providers through OpenRouter. This gives you full control over which AI model generates your posts.

Which platforms are supported?

Currently, Makrly generates posts optimized for X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook. Each platform gets a different version tailored to its audience and format.

You can now set up automatic syncing of your repositories so changelog entries generate and publish without any manual steps, keeping your updates fresh effortlessly.

This update introduces an easy way to keep your changelog up to date without lifting a finger. By connecting an external scheduler or cron service, your repositories set to auto mode will sync regularly to catch new commits or pull requests.

With a dedicated endpoint designed for scheduled calls, the system checks for recent changes since the last sync and uses AI to spot the most notable updates. It then crafts detailed changelog entries automatically, capturing the key stories behind your code.

Publish when you’re ready
If you’ve enabled auto-publish, your changelog gets updated the moment new entries are generated. Otherwise, you still benefit from the effortless creation step and can choose when to publish. This hands-off approach helps you maintain a polished, current changelog with zero hassle.
