How does Makrly generate posts from my commits?

When you push code to GitHub, Makrly reads your commit messages and code changes. Our AI analyzes what you built, filters out mundane commits, and generates engaging social media posts tailored for each platform.

Is my code safe? What permissions do you need?

Yes, your code is safe. We only request read-only access to your repositories. We can't modify your code, create branches, or make any changes. We only read commit messages and diffs to understand what you're building.

Can I use my own AI API key?

Yes! You can bring your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or other providers through OpenRouter. This gives you full control over which AI model generates your posts.

Which platforms are supported?

Currently, Makrly generates posts optimized for X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook. Each platform gets a different version tailored to its audience and format.

Ideas tab now shows up correctly in your widget and changelog

The Ideas section will appear as expected when you turn it on, so you won’t miss sharing your thoughts or plans. We also added a helpful banner to guide you to the Ideas settings.

If you've ever turned on the Ideas feature but didn’t see the Ideas tab in your widget or changelog, we fixed that. Now when you switch Ideas on, everything updates together so the tab will show up right away, making it easier to share and track your ideas.

Plus, we added a friendly notice that appears when Ideas is on, pointing you to where you can manage the Ideas settings. This way, you’ll never wonder why the Ideas tab isn’t showing or how to adjust it.

All the settings now work together smoothly, so your Ideas feature feels reliable and easy to use.
