How does Makrly generate posts from my commits?

When you push code to GitHub, Makrly reads your commit messages and code changes. Our AI analyzes what you built, filters out mundane commits, and generates engaging social media posts tailored for each platform.

Is my code safe? What permissions do you need?

Yes, your code is safe. We only request read-only access to your repositories. We can't modify your code, create branches, or make any changes. We only read commit messages and diffs to understand what you're building.

Can I use my own AI API key?

Yes! You can bring your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or other providers through OpenRouter. This gives you full control over which AI model generates your posts.

Which platforms are supported?

Currently, Makrly generates posts optimized for X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook. Each platform gets a different version tailored to its audience and format.

We wanted to make it simpler and more enjoyable to explore the history of updates, so we redesigned the public changelog page with a fresh timeline layout. Now, each update appears as a colorful dot connected by a vertical line, giving you visual clarity on the flow of changes over time.

Filter and browse with ease
Right at the top, you’ll find category filter pills that let you instantly narrow down the changelog to what matters most to you. On desktop, updates alternate left and right in well-styled cards that pop with subtle hover effects, making the page feel dynamic and inviting.

Dates are presented in relative terms like "Today" or "3 days ago," so you always know how recent each update is without having to do the math yourself. We’ve also improved typography and spacing for better readability, and on mobile, the layout gracefully adapts to a clean single-column view. The result is a changelog that’s as informative as it is delightful to browse.
