How does Makrly generate posts from my commits?

When you push code to GitHub, Makrly reads your commit messages and code changes. Our AI analyzes what you built, filters out mundane commits, and generates engaging social media posts tailored for each platform.

Is my code safe? What permissions do you need?

Yes, your code is safe. We only request read-only access to your repositories. We can't modify your code, create branches, or make any changes. We only read commit messages and diffs to understand what you're building.

Can I use my own AI API key?

Yes! You can bring your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or other providers through OpenRouter. This gives you full control over which AI model generates your posts.

Which platforms are supported?

Currently, Makrly generates posts optimized for X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook. Each platform gets a different version tailored to its audience and format.

Easily replace yard photos with sharper images on desktop

Desktop users can now update their yard photos anytime, while images display more crisply thanks to improved rendering quality. We've also made background photo updates more reliable with better error handling.

We're excited to make it much easier for desktop users to update their yard photos whenever they want. A new “Replace Yard Photo” option is now available right in the top bar's More Actions dropdown, so you can swap out your photo without hassle.

You’ll notice your images look clearer and more detailed, especially on desktop screens. This improvement comes from enhancing how photos render, making them crisp and vibrant whether you’re viewing recent uploads or older shots.

Reliable background updates
We also fixed issues where background photo replacements weren’t saving correctly. Now, when you upload a new photo, it’s properly stored and the old one is cleaned up smoothly. Plus, if anything goes wrong during upload, you’ll get clearer feedback so you can retry with confidence.
