Six new automatic fixes to make your site more accessible

We've added six new accessibility improvements that automatically tidy up common issues, helping your site meet key WCAG guidelines without extra effort.

This update brings a fresh set of automatic fixes designed to enhance accessibility and make your content easier and safer for everyone to navigate.

Smarter link labels and tab order
Links with vague text are now improved by default, making it clearer where each link goes. We've also cleaned up tab order by removing problematic tabindex values, so keyboard users can move through your page more predictably.

Better structure and landmarks
Empty headings are fixed or hidden to reduce confusion, and landmark regions like banner, navigation, main, and footer areas are set up automatically, giving assistive technologies better cues about your content's layout.

Optional enhancements for headings and touch targets
You can enable fixes for heading hierarchy to improve screen reader navigation, and increase touch target sizes to at least 44x44 pixels for better usability on touch devices. These options are off by default, so you can activate them as needed.

With these new auto-remediations, your site becomes more accessible with less hassle, helping all users have a smoother experience.
